Back to the future
Great article on 'dueling bloggers' in Washington Post Magazine. And a great trip down memory lane, reminding us that attempts at objectivity in news coverage are a much more recent creation than many think. On the subject of contrarian lessons from history, I offer my own evaluation of the 'lessons learned' from Vietnam. As more information has become available from more sources, more people are struggling to learn more about how the world works. Yeah...they're coming up with radically different ideas...but at least they have an opinion based on personal research and beliefs rather than ideas spoon-fed to them by a 'do-no-harm' media. Or is that a bad thing? Hm....
