Continuing on the trend of grim news:

Palestinian militants have fired more than a dozen mortar bombs at Jewish settlements and army posts in southern Gaza.

The news comes days after Israel and the Palestinians declared a truce to end four years of violence.

The army said 17 mortar bombs landed early in the morning in some Jewish settlements and army posts in southern Gaza, as well as Israeli towns near the border.

There was no immediate comment from militant groups, but they had said they would not abide by the ceasefire, declared by Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at a summit in Egypt.

They said they would however show restraint in violence.

Well...as long as they're going to show restraint, everything should be okay, right...?
