The Yin and the Yang, part 2.
The Yin from Haaretz:
Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday afternoon ordered PA security forces to end militant fire on Gaza Strip settlements, which shattered the relative calm surrounding Tuesday's Sharm el-Sheikh summit.
Hamas announced earlier Thursday that it had fired 46 mortar shells and rockets at Israeli communities in and around the Strip.
A second barrage hit the area hours later.
First mention of Palestinians killed by Israelis? Paragraph 12.
And a little bit of Yang from Al-Jazeera:
Israel called off a meeting with Palestinian officials on Thursday after both sides violated the cease-fire agreed in the Middle East summit on Tuesday.
Palestinian security sources said that Israeli occupation forces killed at least three Palestinians since the Sharm el-Sheikh summit.
Witnesses said on Wednesday that Israeli soldiers guarding a checkpoint north west of Ramallah opened fire at a Palestinian motorist, killing him on the spot.
An Israeli army spokesman tried to justify the shooting, claiming that the Palestinian didn’t stop at the roadblock.
First description of the Palestinian violation? Paragraph 9.
